Here’s what you’ve all been waiting for – 4 more marketing tips. Yes, you heard it right, it’s that time where we give you 4 insights we’ve learned in the marketing business and hand them off to you. A good marketing strategy is a vital aspect of your business’ success. Taking different forms of marketing into consideration, we have gathered tips on Video Production, Branding, Design, and Marketing. From here, you can choose which tip(s) apply to your business.

1. For any business, you’ll need a strong marketing strategy.

Tip: Remove anything that slows down your website.

There are a bunch of different reasons your website might be slow. However, most of these are easy fixes, so don’t panic just yet. First, you might have images on your website that aren’t optimized. This is typically the most common issue for website slow-ness. If you’re uploading larger images and then scaling them down, you’re in turn, increasing the size of your webpage. This causes your website to load slowly. To fix this, make sure the image is sized correctly and the quality is lowered to the point where it’s still clear, yet has smaller pixels. Another common issue with website speed is  unclean coding. When creating your website, avoid using excessive white spaces, inline stylings, empty new lines, and unnecessary comments. These can slow down your website load time immensely. If you’re concerned about website response speed, look into a ‘Website Speed test’.

2. If applicable, video production is a great way to engage an audience.

Tip: Be original.

Today, more than ever, there is a massive amount of competition in the digital world. To date, there are over 1.7 billion websites on the internet. With that being said, it’s difficult to rank on Google with this other competition. That’s why it is vital to create content that is unique and original for your audience. Let’s be honest – no one wants to see the same content over and over again. Consumers today have extremely short attention spans, so make sure you grab their attention and hold it. In this sense, take advantage of your content creation tools and anything else that can help you through the video creation process. You might be thinking, what’s the best way to be original? What’s most important? The answer is leveraging your own experience. We cannot stress that enough. Consumers are interested in your company’s story, so take that experience and hone in on it.

3. If you have a marketing plan, you’ll want a designer too.

Tip: Don’t be scared of scale.

Volkswagen transformed their take on advertising with this print ad. Instead of the popular, flashy, in-your-face advertisements, Volkswagen took a more simplistic route. Before this advertisement, the Volkswagen Beetle was viewed as an ugly, small, foreign car, yet after, consumers viewed it as an easy to use, reliable, and minimalistic vehicle making it an iconic piece of American pride. The shift in scale with this advertisement greatly benefited the company as it drew more attention to the meaning behind the car. It is important to note how scale can be utilized within graphic design as a way to showcase the important aspects of the ad. After all, scale is solely responsible for creating a visual hierarchy among elements of your creation. It helps show the audience what’s most important to focus on.

4. If your brand isn’t strong, your company may be at risk.

Tip: Let your brand tell a story.

Here at Akullian Creative, we tell your story. When you’re working on your company’s branding, you want to focus in on personal questions. Questions like “how did you start your business”, or “what drove you to focus on this aspect of the field you’re in”. These questions can help you explain the purpose of your brand and the values behind it. When people understand your brand story and mission, they are more likely to relate to it, then support it in the future. As a marketing agency, we hone in on this aspect of branding. We take your business, find it’s core values, then use them to show the audience how beneficial you will be for them.
